Alliance Searing Gorge Guide
Level 50

This is another good spot to join in the guide if you're just joining in now. We're moving on to new zones, and the only quests currently held in the log from earlier are:

• Yuka Screwspigot
• The Stone Circle
• Super Sticky
• Volcanic Activity
• Rise of the Silithid

If you don't have any of these quests, don't worry about going out of your way to get them - just skip the scetions that relate to those quests if they come.

Fly to Stormwind and train. Set your Hearthstone to Stormwind.

Make sure you have 15 Silk Cloth in your inventory - they will be needed for a quest coming up soon.

1. Fly to Thelsamar, Loch Modan. Head south into the Badlands.
   
   
2. In the Badlands, head to the west and enter the Searing Gorge.

1. Head south along the road, then west to Kalaran Windblade and get Divine Retribution. Then, talk to him and finish the entire dialogue and turn it in and get the follow-up The Flawless Flame.
   
   
2. Head northwest to Thorium Point and get the flight path.
   Pick up the quests:
   
   
   • JOB OPPORTUNITY: Culling the Competition
   • STOLEN: Smithing Tuyere and Lookout's Spyglass
   • Incendosaurs? Whateverosaur is More Like it
   • Curse These Fat Fingers
   • Fiery Menace!
   • WANTED: Overseer Maltorius
   • What the Flux?
     
     
3. Head southeast to the forge and kill all the Dark Iron Steamsmith around. There are only six on the entire map at any time, and they all spawn here. They also drop the rare Smithing Tuyere which you need. Therefore, whenever you're near this area, run here and kill the steamsmiths again and again until you get the Tuyere. When you get the Tuyere, you can drop this point in the loop.
   
   The next couple steps are all making laps to get the two rare items, the Smithing Tuyere and the Lookout's Spyglass, so make sure to kill all the scarce mobs each time.
   
   
4. The first step of the circular lap is heading southwest. Kill the Heavy War Golems along the way. Go straight towards the lookouts.
   
   
5. Reach the Dark Iron Lookouts at the first tower and kill all of them. They rarely drop the Lookout's Spyglass. Similar to the Tuyere, this spot will be visited several times along this lap. When you get the Spyglass, you can drop this point in the loop.
   
   
6. Head northwest, then circle around east and clear Greater Lava Spiders. As well, kill the Magma Elementals around if they're up. As you're turning south, kill Heavy War Golems.
   
   Repeat steps 4-6 until you've killed 20 Heavy War Golems and 20 Greater Lava Spiders. Hopefully, you'll have gotten the Smithing Tuyere and Lookout's Spyglass by now, but as they are rare drops, you may not - don't worry, we'll visit the areas again later.
   

1. Head southeast of the steamsmith area (Opportunity to kill steamsmiths if you still don't have the Tuyere!) and get on the elevator. The elevator goes to the top floor (where you enter), a upper-mid floor, a lower-mid floor, and the bottom floor. Get off at the bottom.
   
   
2. Inside The Cauldron, focus on killing Blaze, Magma, and Inferno Elementals on the cauldron floor until reaching 4 Heart of Flame.
   
   
3. Head out of the Cauldron by heading up and around northeast.
   Return to Kalaran Windblade and turn in The Flawless Flame and get the follow-up Forging the Shaft.

1. Head back to the elevator. (Opportunity to kill the Steamsmiths if you don't have the Tuyere yet!) Once again, get off on the bottom floor.
   
   
2. Take the first entrance to the east to go into The Slag Pit.
   
   Head straight down the one-way path and kill the Dark Iron Taskmasters and Dark Iron Slavers along the way to collect 8 Thorium Plated Daggers. (Note: its likely that you'll get an Outhouse Key which starts The Key to Freedom while killing dwarves.) When you hit a Quarry Gate, open it and go through and continue down the path. Continue and you will see Obsidian and Enslaved Archaeollogists. Ignore them and continue up the ramp. On the ramp, take the straight, upward path.
   
   You'll arrive at the Dark Iron barracks. Finish killing 15 Dark Iron Taskmasters and Dark Iron Slavers. Look around for Overseer Maltorius who is in a side room guarded by one dark iron lookout. Kill him first since he's a squishy caster and loot his head. Pick up the Secret Plans: Fiery Flux behind him.
   
   
3. Continue onward and exit the cave.
   
   
4. Re-enter the cave here by just following the path west. Inside, kill 20 Incendosaurs. Then, exit the cave.
   

1. Head northeast and then west to Kalaran Windblade and turn in Forging the Shaft and get the follow-up The Flame's Casing.
   
   
2. Head to the northwest section of the map and clear your way up the path up the mountain. Along the path near a pool of lava, you'll see many Twilight mobs - pull the mobs that are not channeling the spell to solo-pull them. The channeling Twilight Idolators do not attack until you attack them. (You can walk right past them, even!)
   
   Reach Zamael Lunthistle on the top of the Twilight camp and get the quest Prayer to Elune.
   
   
3. Kill the Twilight Cultists until you get the rare drops Symbol of Ragnaros and Prayer to Elune.
   
   
4. Return to Kalaran Windblade and turn in The Flame's Casing and get the follow-ups and complete all of them to get the follow-up Set Them Ablaze!

1. (Opportunity to kill the Steamsmiths if you don't have the Tuyere yet!)
   
   Head southwest to the first watch tower. Kill all the Dark Iron Lookouts to get the rare-drop Lookout's Spyglass if you haven't already. Climb the tower and click the Sentry Brazier to set it ablaze.
   
   
2. Head southeast to the next tower. Kill lookouts if you need the spyglass, and set the Sentry Brazier ablaze.
   
   
3. Head east to the next tower. Kill lookouts if you need the spyglass, and set the Sentry Brazier ablaze.
   
   
4. Head northeast to the next tower. Kill lookouts if you need the spyglass, and set the Sentry Brazier ablaze.
   
   
5. Head east to the Wooden Outhouse and turn in The Key to Freedom at the outhouse. Get the quests Caught!
   
   
6. Head north and kill all the 8 Dark Iron Geologists, (Don't talk to Dorius yet!) then return to the outhouse and turn in Caught! and don't get the follow-up.
   Then, go back to the camp and pick up the escort quest Suntara Stones from Dorius.
   
   
7. Escort him northeast to the location where he'll be assassinated. You'll be attacked by 2 level 43 Dark Iron Dwarves on the way. Pick up the parchment in his hands and complete and get the next step in Suntara Stones.
   
   
8. Return to Kalaran Windblade and turn in Set Them Ablaze! Click the chest and get the quest Trinkets... and complete it by clicking the chest again. Make sure to keep the Molt.
   
   (Opportunity to kill the Steamsmiths if you don't have the Tuyere yet!)
   
   
9. Return to Thorium Point and turn in:
