Night Elf Leveling Guide
Level 1-12

1. Pick up Balance of Nature from Conservator Ilthalaine, the Questmaster directly in front of you. Kill 4 Young Nightsabers & 4 Young Thistle Boars in the surrounding area. Return and finish the quest and pick up the follow-up quests:
   
   
   • Balance of Nature
     
   • Class Sigil Quest
   Turn in your class sigil Quest and train your class abilities.
   
   
2. Walk northeast, and pick up the following quests.
   
   
   • The Woodland Protector from Melithar Staghelm.
     
   • A Good Friend from Dirania Silvershine
     
     
3. Kill 5 Mangy Nightsabers and 5 Thistle Boars in the northeast area.
   
   
4. Return to Conservator Ilthalaine, the place you started to turn in Balance of Nature.
   
   
5. Walk to Taindrella, who is in sight nearby to the southwest. Turn in the The Woodland Protector and get the follow-up.
   
   
6. Head southwest to the Grell camp and kill Grells until finished collecting the 8 Fel Moss.
   
   
   • Then, return to Taindrella and complete The Woodland Protector.
     
   
   
7. Head north: Train your class abilities and get the quest Webwood Venom from Gilshalan Windwalker.
   

1. Head northwest towards Iverron, west of the Shadowthread Cave entrance to finish A Good Friend and pick up the next part: A Friend In Need. Kill all spiders nearby for until you reach 10 Webwood Venom Sacs.
   
   
2. Return to Dirania Silvershine and Gilshalan Windwalker around and turn in Webwood Venom and A Friend in Need. Pick up the follow-up Quests:
   
   
   • Iverron's Antidote
     
   • Webwood Egg
     
     
3. Head northwest and pick up 7 Hyacinth Mushrooms growing along the trees, and 4 Moonpetal Lilys growing by the lake.
   
   
4. Kill your way through the Shadowthread Cave to the end and obtain the Webwood Ichor and Webwood Egg. Jump off, fight your way back out.
   
   
5. Return to Dirania Silvershine and Gilshalan Windwalker and turn in Webwood Egg and Iverron's Antidote and obtain the follow-up Quests:
   
   
   • Tearnon's Summons
     
   • Iverron's Antidote - 5 minute timer!

1. Head northwest - turn in Tenaron's Summons first as it is along the way (while the timer is running). Pick up Crown of the Earth and get the Crystal Phial.
   
   
2. Continue northwest to Iverron and finish Iverron's Antidote.
   
   
3. Head east to the Moonwell at and use the Crystal Phial to fill it.
   
   
4. Return to Tenaron and finish Crown of the Earth and get the follow-up.
   
   
5. Head south of Shadowglen. Pick up the quest from Porthannius: Dolanaar Delivery.
   
   
6. Follow the road west, talk to Zenn Foulhoof and pick up Zenn's Bidding.
   
   
7. Head northeast. The area before Starbreeze Village has Nightsabers, Owls, and Spiders. Kill them to acquire the 3 Nightsaber Fang, 3 Strigid Owl Feather, and 3 Webwood Spider Silk and 7 Small Spider Legs for a quest you will get soon.
   
   
   • Then, return to Zenn and turn in Zenn's Bidding. Head west to Dolanaar.

1. At Dolanaar, Train your skills. Turn in Dolanaar Delivery and Crown of the Earth, and pick up:
   
   
   • Seek Redemption! During the next steps, look around for 3 Fel Cones scattered around near trees.
   • Denalan's Earth
     
   • A Troubling Breeze
   • The Emerald Dreamcatcher
     
   • Crown of the Earth
   • Recipe of the Kaldorei by Zarrin, Cooking Trainer (Train Cooking first to be able to get this quest)
     
     
   • Don't get Twisted Hatred. It is not worth the time it takes to complete the quest.
     
     
2. Head east towards Starbreeze Village. Just before it, reach the moonwell at and fill the Jade Phial.
   
   
3. In Starbreeze Village, head to the second floor of the inn building and talk to Gaerolas to finish A Troubling Breeze. Get the follow-up Gnarlpine Corruption.
   
   
4. Go to the house at the southeast side of Starbreeze Village to pick up the Emerald Dreamcatcher.
   
   
5. Head west to Zenn and turn in Seek Redemption!
   
   
6. Head back to Dolanaar. Turn in your quests:
   
   
   • Crown of the Earth
     
   • The Emerald Dreamcatcher
     
   • Recipe of the Kaldorei
   and get the new quests:
   

• Ferocitas the Dream Eater
  
• Crown of the Earth
  
  
• Don't get The Relics of Wakening. It is not worth the time it takes to complete the quest. This is the single most annoying quest of all early level quests - the life of a night elf is rough!

1. Head southeast to Denalan and compete the quest Delalan's Earth. Collect the quests:
   
   
   • Timberling Seeds
     
   • Timberling Sprouts
     
     
2. Kill the Timberlings nearby and collect Timberling Sprouts.
   
   
   • Then, return to Denalan and turn in Timberling Seeds and Timberling Sprouts . Get the follow-up quest Rellian Greenspyre.
     
     
3. Head further east to and kill Ferocitas and 7 Gnarlpine Mystics. After looting the Gnarlpine Necklace, right click it and loot Tallonkal's Jewel from it.
   
   
4. Head back to Dolanaar and turn in Ferocitas the Dream Eater. Train your skills.
   
   
5. Head west on the road and Along the way, talk to Moon Priestess Amara and pick up the quest The Road to Darnassus.
   
   
6. Head southwest off the road and kill Gnarlspine Ambushers.
   
   
7. Head southwest to the Moonwell to fill your Tourmaline Vial.
   
   
8. Walk back to Dolanaar.
   
   
   • Stop by at Moon Priestess Amara on the road and turn in The Road to Darnassus.
     
     
   • At Dolanaar, turn in Crown of the Earth and get the next step in the quest and the Amethyst Vial.

1. Walk west along the path to Darnassus. Set your Hearthstone to Darnassus. Complete and pick up the following quests:
   
   
   • Rellian Greenspyre by talking to Rellian Greenspyre at the Cenarion Enclave northwest part of town and get the follow-up Tumors.
     
     
   • Head south to The Temple of the Moon to Priestess A'Moora and get the Tears of the Moon.
     
     
2. Head northeast out of Darnassus and pick up The Enchanted Glade from Arynia Cloudsbreak. Also, fill up your Amethyst Phial at the moonwell right next to her.
   
   
3. Clear a path northwest through the harpies. You will find Mist the panther there as well hidden away in a corner. Once you have cleared the area and gathered up 6 Bloodfather Belts, talk to Mist and accept the quest to escort it back to Sentinel Arynia.
   
   
   • Complete Mist
     
   • Complete The Enchanted Glade
     
   • Get the follow-up Teldrassil
     
     
4. Head north to get the quest The Shimmering Frond from the Strange Fronded Plant.
   
   
5. Head east and look for the spider Lady Sathrah. Check both locations, she randomly spawns in one of them.
   
   
6. Head south down the river. If you are lucky, you may be able to find Blackmoss the Fetid. If you kill him, he drops a quest item which starts a quest. Don't worry if you don't find him, he is a rare spawn with a long cooldown spawn period. Kill the Timberlings for 5 Mossy Tumors.
   
   
   • Once done, return to Darnassus.

1. At Darnassus, turn in your quests:
   
   
   • Tumors and get the continuance Return to Denalan.
     
   • Teldrassil and don't get the follow-up. (Abandon Grove of the Ancients)
     
   • Tears of the Moon and its follow-ups.
     
     
2. Head east to Dolanaar and turn in Crown of the Earth and get the final step in the Crown of the Earth quest chain.
   
   
3. Return to Denalan to turn in Return to Denalan and The Shimmering Frond and pick up the Oakenscowl quest.
   
   
4. Complete Oakenscowl by killing Oakenscowl.
   
   
5. Return to Denalan and turn in Oakenscowl.
   
   
6. Hearth to Darnassus. Train your skills. Also, since you won't be coming to Darnassus for a while, go to the Weapon Master at the Warrior's Terrace (Talk to a guard and ask for the location of Weapon Masters for a pinpoint location) and train proficiency in any weapon skills you can learn.
   
   
• Get Nessa Shadowsong from Mydrannul at the eastern entrance to Darnassus.
  
  
• Turn in Crown of the Earth to Arch Druid Fandral Staghelm in the Cenarion Enclave area of the northern area of the city.
  
  
• Step through the purple portal in Darnassus.
  
  
  • Head down the path and turn in Nessa Shadowsong and get the follow-up The Bounty of Teldrassil.
    
    
  • Continue down the path to the flight master and turn in The Bounty of Teldrassil to get the follow-up Flight to Auberdine. Take the flight to Auberdine.
    
    
  • At Auberdine, complete The Bounty of Teldrassil by speaking to Laird and get the follow-up Return to Nessa. Then fly back again, talk to Nessa to complete Return to Nessa. Finally, fly back again to Auberdine.
    
    
  • At the Auberdine Docks, take the boat to Stormwind Harbor.

1. At Stormwind, make sure to get the Stormwind Flight Path. Some classes will have a Level 10 Class Quest as well at their class trainer - pick it up. Also, get Humble Beginnings from Baros Alexston in the northeast section of Cathedral Square.
   
   
2. Head southeast to Goldshire.

1. Arrive at Goldshire and Set your Hearthstone to Goldshire. Get all the quests in the area:
   
   
   • Gold Dust Exchange
     
   • Kobold Candles
     
   • The Fargodeep Mine
   • A Fishy Peril - then, turn it in and get the follow-up Further Concerns
   • Elmore's Task
   • Report to Gryan Stoutmantle
     
     
2. Head southwest to The Stonefield Farm. Get the quests Lost Necklace and Princess Must Die!
   
   
3. Head east to The Maclure Vineyards and talk to Maybell to get Young Lovers and talk to Billy Maclure and turn in Lost Necklace and get the follow-up Pie for Billy. Kill Stonetusk Boars at the farm for 4 Chunk of Bear Meat.
   
   
4. Head west to The Stonefield Farm and turn in Pie for Billy. Get the follow-up Back to Billy. Further to the west, turn in Young Lovers to Tommy Joe Stonefield and get the follow-up Speak with Gramma. Turn in the quest at Gramma Stonefield and get the follow-up Note to William.
   
   
5. Return to Billy Maclure and turn in Back to Billy and get the follow-up Goldtooth.
   
   
6. Head south inito the Fargodeep Mine. Kill your way through to the northeast section and kill Goldtooth for Bernice's Necklace. You don't have to complete Gold Dust Exchange or Kobold Candles yet as there will be another mine to visit soon.
   
   
7. Return to Goldshire.
   

1. At Goldshire, turn in The Fargodeep Mine. Get the follow-up The Jasperlode Mine. Turn in Note to William and get the follow-up Collecting Kelp.
   
   
2. Head northeast to Crystal Lake and kill Murlocs for 4 Crystal Kelp Fronds.
   
   
3. Head northeast to the Jasperlode Mine and fight your way through until you get:
   
   
   • Credit for Exploring the Mine
     
   • 10 Gold Dust
     
   • 8 Large Candle
     
     
4. Head southeast to Guard Thomas. Turn in Further Concerns and get the follow-ups Find the Lost Guards and Protect the Frontier.
   
   
5. Head northwest to A Half-Eaten Body and complete Find the Lost Guards and get the follow-up Discover Rolf's Fate.
   
   
6. Head northeast to Rolf's Corpse and complete Discover Rolf's Fate. Get the follow-up Report to Thomas.
   
   
7. Head southeast into the Eastvale Logging Camp.

1. At the Eastvale Logging Camp, get the quests A Bundle of Trouble and Red Linen Goods.
   
   
2. Head around the camp from the northwest to the southeast and gather 8 Bundles of Wood, and kill 8 Prowlers and 5 Young Forest Bears.
   
   
3. Head southwest to the Brackwell Pumpkin Patch. Kill Defias Bandits for 6 Red Linen Bandana and kill Princess for her Brass Collar. If you get lucky, you may get the random drop Westfall Deed which starts the quest Furlbrow's Deed.
   
   
4. Go to Guard Thomas and turn in Protecting the Frontier and Report to Thomas. Get the follow-up Deliver Thomas' Report.
   
   
5. Go to the Eastvale Logging Camp and turn in A Bundle of Trouble and Red Linen Goods.
   
   
   • Once done, Hearth to Goldshire.
     

1. At Goldshire, turn in your quests:
   
   
   • Collecting Kelp and get the follow-up The Escape
     
   • Gold Dust Exchange
     
   • Kobold Candles and get the follow-up Shipment to Stormwiind
     
   • Deliver Thomas' Report - don't get the follow-up Cloth and Leather Armor.
     
   • The Jasperlode Mine and get the follow-up Westbrook Garrison Needs Help!
     
     
2. Head south to the Maclure Vineyards. Turn in The Escape.
   
   
3. Head west to the Stonefield Farm. Turn in Goldtooth and Princess Must Die!
   
   
4. Head northwest to Westbrook Garrison. Turn in Westbrook Garrison Needs Help! and get the quests Riverpaw Gnoll Bounty and Wanted: "Hogger" (Group).
   
   
5. Head south to the gnoll camps and kill the Riverpaw Gnolls for 8 Painted Gnoll Armband. If you get lucky, you may get the random drop Gold Pickup Schedule as a random quest drop from the gnolls, which starts the quest The Collector.
   Also, try to find someone to group with to kill the infamous Hogger for his Huge Gnoll Claw. He's soloable, but is a difficult fight - use any items you've gotten so far to help, especially a healing potion.
   
   
6. Head north to Westbrook Garrison and turn in Riverpaw Gnoll Bounty.
   
   
7. Head northeast to Goldshire. Turn in Wanted: "Hogger" - and, if you got lucky with the random drop, turn in The Collector. Don't get the follow-up Manhunt because it is far out of the way. Train your skills.
   

That concludes Elwynn Forest. Head southwest into Westfall.
