With the advent of patch 3.2, you can obtain your mount at Level 40 for just 60 Total Gold (50 for the training, and 10 for the mount, with some price discounts for reputation), which will speed up travel significantly.

It's possible that you haven't accumulated 60 Gold yet - check out the Gold Guide for an awesome guide which will allow you to get to at least ten thousand gold while you level up to 80. Never worry about the cost of skills and mount prices. You'll even be able to pick up some rare and epic gear from the auction house with your gold as you level so you can level even faster.

• If Orc, buy your mount at The Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.
• If Troll, buy your mount at Sen'jin Village.
• If Tauren, head into Mulgore and buy your mount.
• If Undead, take the zeppelin to The Underciy buy your mount at Brill.
• If Blood Elf, take the zeppelin to The Undercity, use the orb of Translocation, and buy your mount just outside Silvermoon City.

If you don't have enough money for your mount yet, just continue on until you do have enough money at which point make a pit stop and buy your epic mount.

Continuing on: Exit Orgrimmar and get on the Zeppelin to Grom'gol Base Camp.

1. At Grom'gol Base Camp, turn in The Troll Witchdoctor but don't get the follow-up Marge Speaks.
   
   Get all the quests in the area. If you've followed the Stranglethorn Vale portions of the guide earlier, as of now, you should have the following quests:
   
   
   • Tiger Mastery (Complete - Killed Sin'dall)
   • Excelsior
   • Mok'Thardin's Enchantment (Jungle Stalker Part)
   • Panther Mastery (Bhag'thera Part)
   • Raptor Mastery (Jungle Stalker Part)
   • Scarying Shaky
   • Venture Company Mining
   • Bloodscalp Clan Heads
   • Split Bone Necklace
     
     
2. Head south and kill Jungle Stalkers until you've killed at least 10 and have gathered 10 Jungle Stalker Feathers.
   
   
3. Head east and kill Venture Co. Goblins for 10 Singing Blue Crystals.
   
   
4. Return to Grom'gol Base Camp and turn in Mok'thardin's Enchantment and get the next step in the chain.
   
   
5. Ride northwest and kill the Elder Saltwater Crocolisk for the Elder Crocolisk Skin. If its not there, clear several Saltwater Crocolisks to get it to spawn.
   
   
6. Head northeast into the Ruins of Zul'Kunda. Clear your way through the ruins to the upper level where Nezzilok the Dire and Gan'zulah are. They are near each other in the same general northern topmost area in the ruins.
   
   
7. Ride east out of the ruins to Nesingwary's Expedition Camp. Turn in Tiger Mastery and Raptor Mastery, and get the follow-up Raptor Mastery.
   
   
8. Return to Grom'gol Base Camp and turn in Bloodscalp Clan Heads. Get the follow-ups Speaking With Nezzilok and Speaking With Gan'zulah.
   

Then, Fly to Booty Bay and turn in Venture Company Mining and Excelsior.

Finally, Hearth to Orgrimmar.
